Socially responsible and ethical investments strategies, aimed to enhance returns while respecting social and environmental well-being have been considerably growing for the last decade. In 2007, the market measured in trillions of dollars is booming.

An ethical approach is applicable to every business and economic sector in the world. One of them, Ethical fund offers investors the opportunity to avoid investing their money in companies whose products, services and methods of operation they disapprove.

After having organized the very successful “Business and Ethics“ forum in Paris with the presence of the Dalai Lama in 1996 and lead by exceptional speakers we are proud to announce the “Current and future utility potential in socially responsible and ethical asset classes” conference in Monaco in 2008, with a strong emphasis on the ethical investment funds world.

The conference will principally focus on socially responsible investment funds strategies and environment, and allow the participants to understand the stakes, analyse the performances of the ethical approach, and of course maximize returns through socially responsible market finance. Consequently, the main topics developed at the conference will be:

Socially responsible investment Funds: analysis of a world in finance:

  • What makes a fund ethical?
  • What are the highest yield sectors & What will be the highest yield sectors?
  • Are the non ethics-oriented corporations doomed to face reduced financial resources for their investments?
  • How ethics-oriented funds can outperform non-ethic investments?
  • SRI funds as political instruments. To which extent?
  • Pension and mutual funds engagement in Ethical funds
  • Ethics oriented funds and the wealthy. A form of philanthropy?

Practical approach to creating an ethical fund:

  • Mastering the best ethics-compliant asset allocation
  • Balancing investment sectors and its impact on performance
  • SRI trends and their implications on active management
  • SRI funds regulations
  • Best screening tools and evolution of screening standards
  • Transparency issues
  • Making sure the fund sticks to its published ethical policy
  • Active voting policy vs. Financial performance
